The Ask

TBS asked Creative Mammals to help promote the release of The Last O.G. Cookbook, recipes inspired by The Last O.G. with elements woven throughout that immersed readers in the O.G. world. Even better, a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the book was to benefit a charity making a difference in mass incarcerations, food deserts, and re-entry challenges.

The Challenge

Our client dropped off The Last O.G. Cookbook: How to Get Mad Culinary Skills at Creative Mammals HQ, then peeled off, tires blazing. We flipped through the pages, read the soulful recipes, and subsequently got very, very hungry, but also inspired!

 

The Result

We took the cookbook and decided to shoot it in creative ways and at interesting angles. We took the raw assets and threaded them together via Cinema 4D, sprinkled in some After Effects visual and motion graphics spice to make it the delightfully delicious marketing campaign it was meant to be, then went out for some ceviche.
